Why do Australian's feel increasingly disconnected? And how can we learn to reconnect in meaningful, practical and sustainable ways?

What I write here will sometimes seem disparate and disconnected. For example I intend to post about local neighbourhood life, politics, social norms, manners and the experience of sharing life with someone who has been chronically ill.

While seemingly an eclectic mix of topics, in developing the Asparagus Revolution I have realised that everything I write about circles the theme of social connection - our desire for it and our fears about it.

The Asparagus Revolution exists as a place for exploring and experimenting with the social norms that enhance and inhibit our ability to build meaningful community connections. Occasionally I will set a Community Challenge, a challenge to connect with people in a way that I find scary. I will then write about what happens.

I invite you to experiment with me!
